Earth Science Women's Network (ESWN)

My name is Vanessa Sun and I am currently a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in between my undergraduate (math & art) and graduate degree (atmospheric science). My photo collage of me taking field measurements at 6 AM for an atmospheric chemistry project on the air quality of the Charles River Esplanade. The photo shows my setup, including a Raspberry Pi computer attached to my backpack, equipped with sensors measuring carbon dioxide, particulate emissions, temperature, and more. I am participating in the Science-A-Thon as an Asian-American Latina woman with ADHD because I hope people will see me as an example of what a scientist can look like and what diversity in STEM looks like!
