I’m Steffi Diem, an assistant professor in the Engineering Physics department at UW-Madison. I model how to use microwaves to heat gas to temperatures hotter than the sun for fusion energy research. I took this picture after giving a virtual tour of the Pegasus-III fusion energy experiment that I work on.
