Meredith Garofalo is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and Space/Science Journalist with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Valparaiso University. She was the 2018 receipt of her alumni association's Decade Achievement Award for her work both on-air and in the communities she serves. Meredith is current Chair of the American Meteorological Society's Station Scientist Committee and also an accomplished singer and writer. She has performed our national anthem more than 100 times including for the Cleveland Indians and the Denver Broncos! Meredith is excited to take part in this year's Science-A-Thon to help continue the conversation of motivating and inspiring women to pursue careers in science and space and hopes to continue to be a role model and supporter for girls and women all over the world!
