Sunset Over New York City

My name is Ken Brown. I'm an Assistant Professor of Geosciences at DePauw University. My interests include exploring important problems in mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry. My students and I explore topics ranging from crystal growth to anthropogenic pollution. (Photo) My student and I collecting granite samples from a mountain range in Nevada. By examining its physical features and mineral constituents, we hope to gain a better understanding of its magmatic origins!
