Promega
Hi all! I'm Dr. Jordan Nutting. This summer I earned my my PhD in chemistry from UW-Madison where I studied ways to use electricity to study and promote reactions in organic chemistry. While pursuing my research, I also worked as part-time science writing intern at the Carbone Cancer Center and as a science reporter at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I am now a science writer at Promega, where I get to use my knowledge of research and storytelling to support scientists and their work. In this photo, I am filming laboratory tutorial videos for a virtual short course I helped produce during the last few months of my graduate studies. I am passionate about telling the story of research and of scientists and I am so excited to this by participating in Science-A-Thon.
