I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Colorado School of Mines. I conduct research relating hydrology and biogeochemistry in a wide variety of systems around the world. In this photo I am labeling a sample from a glacial meltwater stream in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica. I decided to participate in Science-A-Thon because I love my job as a scientist and want to share just how much variety there is in my day-to-day work.
