David Watt, M.A., RPA, joined NCPTT with nine years of experience in cultural resources management, geographic information systems (GIS), and geophysical surveys. He has experience conducting archaeological investigations across the Midwest and Southeastern United States as well as Mexico. He received his B.A. degree in Anthropology and History with a minor in Native American Studies from Illinois State University in 2013, his M.A. degree in Anthropology from Tulane University in 2016, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. He has taught courses on Native American studies and Louisiana Archaeology and his research has been published in multiple journals including: Southeastern Archaeology, the International Journal of Historical Archaeology, the Parks Stewardship Forum, and presented at numerous conferences in the U.S. and internationally.
