Hi, my name is Alex Marmo and I'm a Research Associate at the University of Oklahoma. I am a Hydrometeorologist turned Social Scientist! My position is the perfect integration of physical and social sciences, bridging the gap between the two. I am currently researching how forecasters communicate severe weather forecast information to Emergency Managers and how that information is used for localized decision-making. I also co-direct the National Weather Center REU program here in Norman, OK. I am participating in the Science-A-Thon to share my own experiences and to learn from other scientists!
