I'm a hydrologist and ecological engineer, mostly working in urban landscapes. I'm currently an Assistant Professor at Penn State University. In the photo, I'm checking out our local urban stream where we've been collecting data on the water quality function of a constructed floodplain wetland. I'm excited to participate in Science-A-Thon because I think it's a great way to help others understand the diverse things that scientists and engineers work on day to day.
