I'm Laura Edwards, the State Climatologist of South Dakota. I work for South Dakota State University Extension, bridging the communication and interpretation gap between research and decisions. I work primarily with agriculture and farmers in my state, but also with hazard planning, drought planning, flood response, youth and communities, and really anyone else that wants climate and weather information. I am excited to be a part of Science-a-Thon for the first time this year.
