Amy Burgin, Associate Professor and Associate Scientist, University of Kansas and Kansas Biological Survey, surveying the South Fork of Kings Creek at Konza Prairie (Kansas, USA) where she works with a team of scientists - including microbiologists, hydrologists, and biogeochemists - to understand how stream intermittency (periods of no-flow) affects water quality.
