My name is Amanda Frossard, and I am an assistant professor in Chemistry at the University of Georgia. I study the chemistry of aerosol particles and how they grow into cloud droplets. This past summer, my group worked on a research ship for two weeks in the North Atlantic Ocean. We collected aerosol particles and seawater to bring back to our laboratory for analyses. In this picture, I am on the roof of our mobile lab, on the ship, getting everything ready to go to sea.
